Arent Fox superlawyer Kimberly Wachen’s first job after graduating from Duke was as a tax accountant for Arthur Andersen, and after getting her CPA and going to law school, she always thought she’d be a tax lawyer. While at UPenn Law, she discovered that real estate and business were her true calling, and she’s taken that passion far, becoming one of the top commercial real estate lawyers in DC. As a result of advising clients such as Northstar Realty Finance, Sunrise Senior LivingMarriott, and NASDAQ, she's helped develop large real estate projects throughout the country. Kimberly says the key to a fulfilling career is picking a field one is truly passionate about: "The real fun is bringing lenders, developers, and investors together to create something special that no one group could do alone."
