John Owendoff Bolsters HFF Retail

HFF hired real estate veteran John Owendoff(right) to its retail investment sales group, where he'll team with Jordan Lex to beef up the Mid-Atlantic presence of the nation's No. 3 retail broker. HFF DC co-head Sue Carras told us this morning the firm wants to build on the strong retail financing capability that managing director Mark Remington developed in the region. Danny Finkel, head of HFF's national retail platform, will oversee the group, she adds. Wasting no time, the team tells us they're already in the market to arrange a JV for the development of a 250k SF lifestyle retail center in Montgomery County.
