The Deets on Massive Target

Target Canada pres Tony Fisher says the new store in the Financial District will be one of their largest in Canada, within a one-mile radius of 15,000 condo units. At 145k SF, it will be part of a 200k SF retail space at the base of One York Street, a 35-story office tower that’s under construction, a stone’s throw from Union Station, ACC and the growing South Core District. Tony is snapped at the recent launch of one of their Montreal stores.

Here's One York Street. The store will open in 2016. Target opened 124 stores in Canada in 2013. The goal Tony tells us is to open 150 stores in Canada by 2017. (Visiting every Target is the new version of visiting every MLB baseball stadium.)
