JLL Gets Into Appraisal Game

JLL Canada has added four members in Toronto who specialize in providing valuations on investment-grade commercial real estate assets. SVP Gordon Coffell, right, will lead the valuation team and tells us, "We are planning to grow our practice." Gordon will be joined by JLL VPs Warren Coffell, Jared Coffell, and David Black.

Toronto has a competitive landscape when it comes to advisory and appraisal services, Gordon says, but he's confident his team will be able to carve out a niche. "We will not compete for traditional appraisal work," he says. "We will be focusing on institutional-grade real estate on a national basis." Gordon tells us he likes to let off steam by engaging in the occasional round of "bad golf… and typically only when they need a fourth.” He finds true tranquility at his family's new cottage in the Kawarthas.
