Seattle Industrial Boom Has Staying Power

It might not be the most glamorous property type, but JLL EVP Matt O'Brien tells us Seattle industrial isn't being overlooked by investors. He says demand for the product should remain strong for the next couple of years, adding that it's hard to see sale prices and investor appetite getting much stronger than they are now. "The fundamentals of our market should allow us to be one of the last areas in the country to soften, once we reach the peak," he says. Recently JLL tapped Matt to join its Seattle office. He joins JLL from CBRE, and before his career in commercial real estate, Matt was a collegiate and pro baseball player, pitching up to the Triple-A level with the Oakland A's.
