Skanska recently shared preliminary details from its Early Design Guidance packet for a development in Belltown. The 30-story residential tower includes 307 apartment units, 7K SF of ground-level retail and 154 below-grade parking stalls.
The company will present initial design concepts to the Design Review Board at an Early Design Guidance meeting May 15 at City Hall.
The proposed project will be built on a 19,440 SF parcel composed of three properties at 2208, 2212 and 2218 Fourth Ave. in the Belltown neighborhood.

The project fits in with the Denny Regrade Development Plan of 1974, which identified Belltown as a priority for housing. This goal was reiterated in the Downtown Plan of 1985 and the Belltown Neighborhood Plan of 1998, which include improving the existing neighborhood's character and creating a pedestrian-friendly streetscape.
“Our team’s continued focus with this project is to maintain close collaborations with the community, the city and our customers,” Skanska Executive Vice President Murphy McCullough said.
This is Skanska’s second multifamily development in the area. It recently completely Alley111 in Bellevue.
