University Of Maryland Seeks Hotel Partner

University of Maryland VP for administration and finance Rob Spectertells us that his office has issued a Requestfor Expressions of Interest(RFEI) to identify a hotel development partner. The University has carved outa premiercampus location, adjacent to Downtown College Park, to develop auniversity-affiliated hotel with meeting anddining space. Response has been strong. Rob says that the right partner will beidentified bysummer, with work moving forward in fall 2013. The plus forthe community: The hotel signifies a renewedcommitment to strengtheningBaltimore Avenue and better connects campus to the Downtown.
