Sares Regis Group of Northern California received city approval to build a new luxury apartment project in South San Francisco.

The community includes 260 apartments and 12 townhomes on four lots (401 and 411 Airport Blvd, 405 Cypress Ave and 216 Miller Ave). The project will kick-start the redevelopment of downtown South San Francisco, says Drew Hudacek, CIO for Sares Regis Group of Northern California. The project will help bring traffic to main street businesses and increase use of the Caltrain station, he says.

Sares Regis will make streetscape improvements, estimating a $5.7M contribution to community benefits. Housing is a top priority for the city, says City Manager Mike Futrell.

TCA Architects designed the project. The developers plan to break ground at the end of this year, with completion set for January 2019.
