San Francisco’s Central South of Market could soon get a new hotel. R.D. Olson Development scrapped its initial plans to turn an auto shop into an 11-story development that would house either 112 condos or 190K SF of office at 565-589 Bryant St., SocketSite reports.
The new project designed by HKS will create a 12-story, 300-room hotel dubbed Hotel Bryant with a 120-spot parking garage, restaurant and 1,600 SF of retail. The plan includes the merging of the existing six parcels into one, which would require approval.
The pending Central SoMa plan would allow for heights up to 130 feet compared to the current 65 feet, and the corner parcels at Bryant are expected to be upzoned to 130 feet.
