From Pier 70 to Treasure Island and the Giants, the historic S.F. waterfront is set for a major renaissance. We've gathered some of the biggest players to tell you what to expect in the coming boom for Bisnow's Future of the San Francisco Waterfront Sept. 23 at the Grand Hyatt, starting at 7:30am.
Among our speakers will be Orton Development partner James Madsen, who tells us the Master Lease has been signed for Historic Pier 70 and construction and leasing are underway. He expects to begin delivering spaces next year with the first tenants taking occupancy in late 2016.
Orton's parcel abuts the Dogpatch so when it's up and running there should be a fluid path of travel. Formerly the HQ of Union Iron Works and then Bethlehem Steel, the various buildings were developed between 1885 and 1941 and together form the most intact industrial complex west of the Mississippi.
