Mare Island Saddles Up

With folks in Vallejo chomping at the bit to see Mare Island continue to get back into productive use, master developer Lennar named Kennedy Wilson leasing agent for more than 1M SF of commercial sites. Newly hired KW VP Eric Rehn, a specialist in Solano and Contra Costa county industrial and warehouse properties, spearheads the marketing program. Lennar is redeveloping some 650 acres of the former naval base for a mixed-use commercial and residential community in a public/private partnership with the City of Vallejo. Since the base closed in 1996, more than 3M SF of commercial occupancies have been completed.
