What happens when you take parts from two of the hottest real estate sectors? (We're talking about healthcare tenants and creative types.) Well, a creative medical expert--Giant--just took abig lease at San Francisco's Waterfront Plaza. Transwestern brokers led by SVP Markus Shayeb negotiated a long-term expansion with owner LaSalle Investment Investment for a 13k SF expansion at the four-story office complex (1700 Montgomery). He says Giant, which focuses on branding, communication, and creative development for healthcare clients, needed just 4,000 SF a decade ago. Two recent expansions have vaulted it to nearly 40k SF, making Giant the largest tenant at the 297k SF building. JLL's Wesley Powell repped the landlord.
