Fisher Development VP Alex Fisher says his familys company, founded in 1971, thrives on the complex. Current projects include The Metro Theater on Union Street, where Fisher is adding three floors and 30k SF to what once housed a single-screen theater. The challenge: retain and recreate the theaters historical elements while modernizing the buildingfor Equinox Gym. Also on the plate is 90k SF at 901 Market Street for Hudson Pacific Properties. The challenge: major demolition, new storefront and vertical transportation in an occupied building sitting on one of the busiest intersections in the city.
