When times are good, real estate comes out to party. (FYI: Times are really good right now.) The Julia Morgan Ballroom played host to BOMA's big holiday blowout with more than 600 attendees Wednesday night. We hear there was an after-party at Harrington's and an after-after-party at Bubble Lounge until 3am, so if some appeared hungover at Thursday's dueling construction bashes—we hit both last night, DPR's shot above--it's because they were.

We learned a fun fact at DPR's 500-person holiday party: The construction giant is moving its San Francisco office two blocks away to 945 Front in a few months, doubling in size from 9k to 18k SF. That means it's leaving the office Rocky Moss (right) opened 17 years ago. "It's bittersweet," says regional manager Mike Humphrey. The driver for bigger digs--which they're designing to be a net-zero energy office--is twofold: to grow its staff and throw bigger parties. (Expect 600 next year, they tell us.) DPR kept busy in '13 with hospital projects like UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay and just won one to build Visa's new S.F. space at One Market. "The Bay Area is exploding," says Rocky.

Former Mayor Willie Brown made the rounds this week; first at Tuesday's 555 Cal tree lighting and last night at Nibbi's holiday party, snapped here with chairman Sergio Nibbi. Sergio says he shops for clothes at Costo, while Willie claims he's a Target guy (who knew they sell top hats and pinstripe suits?). Willie's got the political title nailed down, but Nibbi's been calling itself "Nibbi Bay" as an ode to the loads of blocks it's got cooking in Mission Bay. Also on tap: pre-con work at Pier 48, Anchor Steam's future facility. (Disclosure: Corona was also invited last night, but the bitter temps did necessitate some beachy thoughts.)
