Another Shipping Container-Based Project Wins Approval

The Phoenix City Council is expected to approve the sale of land at Second and Portland streets to Stark James LLC, developer of Containers on Grand (pictured). That development is underway; its distinction is that it's been built from repurposed seaport shipping containers. Principals Wes James and Brian Stark want to do the same at the new location, the Phoenix Business Journal reports. The new development will be called The Oscar and include nine apartments, plus two live/work spaces and commercial space. [PBJ]
