McShane Construction Takes Lead On 172k SF Light Industrial Complex

Desert Gateway, a two-building 172k SF industrial complex, is slated for completion in October. Developer Griffin Opportunities has awarded the comprehensive construction of the Class-A industrial space to McShane Construction Co. Concrete is being poured for the tilt walls after ground was broken in mid-March.

The buildings will sit on a 10-acre parcel at 909 West Pinnacle Peak Road that will offer users access to Interstate 17 and Loop 101. Designed with light industrial users in mind, the two buildings are arranged in a rear-load configuration. Building A will be 80k SF and Building B will ring in at 92k SF; the two buildings could accommodate up to six tenants total.

Phoenix has hot demand for industrial space, including growth in southwest Phoenix and demand for cold storage.

“McShane Construction offers extensive experience in successfully completing industrial projects of similar scope throughout Arizona, the Southwest Region and on a national basis,” McShane VP Milt Elmer says.
