Greystone Sets Up Beachhead In Phoenix

Greystone & Co. has established a presence in Phoenix for its multifamily and commercial real estate lending. Director Eric Jones heads up the location with a focus on Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Federal Housing Administration and CMBS real estate finance, serving multifamily owners nationwide from the new outpost. Jones joined New York-based Greystone last year, after 14 years at Aries Capital, nine of which were in Phoenix.

“The Phoenix market is thriving, and there are no signs of it slowing down," Jones said. "Population growth continues to be one of the highest in the country, and not only has Downtown Phoenix been revitalized, but most of the suburban cities in both the East and West Valleys have downtowns full of energy.

"Apartment rents will stay relatively flat this year because of the amount of new properties entering the market, but all of those units will ultimately be absorbed.”
