The corner of South Broad and Washington is set to see not one, not two, but three mixed-use developments in construction over the next few years, with the most recent project to be designed by Harman Deutsch Architects.
The proposal includes 53 apartments above a residential lobby and 1,900 SF of ground-floor retail, with 12 parking spaces (one already reserved for carsharing services) and a small backyard in the rear of the lot, according to Curbed.
Bart Blatstein has already proposed a contentious 34-story residential tower with retail several floors off the street at that intersection, while the Lincoln Square development will be going up just across Broad Street. This new project, set to be the smallest of the three, will be at 1111 South Broad, across Washington from Blatstein's tower. [Curbed]
