Walker & Dunlop Eyes Philly for Expansion

Bisnow was in Orlando recently for the NMHC Conference and caught up with a few Philly real estate players, along with those aspiring to be in the market, which is one of the hottest on the Eastern Seaboard.

Snapped: Charley McGrath, managing director of MRP Realty, with Christopher Doerr, managing director of Walker & Dunlop, putting in some time on the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club. Charley and Chris are longtime friends from Avalon and Chris couldn’t have a better buddy, since he’s eyeing Philadelphia as a target market.

Chris joins the ranks of many national firms interested in Philadelphia due to the market's recent cachet among institutional investors. As of the end of '15, Bethesda, MD-based Walker & Dunlop's nationwide commercial loan servicing portfolio surpassed $50B. For his part, Charley was an active player in Philly last year, acquiring properties throughout Center City, and he tells us that will continue early in 2016.
