NYSE Is Leaving Longtime FiDi Office Space at 20 Broad St

The NYSE is exiting 20 Broad St when its lease is up in the summer of 2016, the New York Post reports. The NYSE is by far the biggest tenant in the 27-story, 472k SF building. Vornado holds a ground lease on it that runs till 2081, the Post says. The NYSE has owned the land under it since 1928. The iconic trading floor at 11 Wall St won’t be affected. (Which is good since you know it doesn't take much to work those folks up into a frenzy.) Nobody’s talking yet about who’ll take the space or where the NYSE will relocate. Probably not to Atlanta, where ICE, its parent company, is based…although around this time of year a move south must be tempting.
