Knotel is setting up shop in the former New York Times building in a big space it originally planned to sublease to someone else.

The company inked a deal for 51K SF at the Columbia Property Trust-owned 229 West 43rd St. last year. The space was going to be a traditional Knotel flexible office location, but it is going to be the workspace provider’s new headquarters, The Real Deal reports.

Knotel has been rapidly expanding, and now has over 2M SF in more than 100 locations in New York, San Francisco, London, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris and Brazil.
