Lawrence and Marilyn Friedland's majestic $9.2M Southampton mansion burst into flames on Saturday afternoon. It took firefighters from 10 departments several hours to control the fire at the 6BR/6BA, 8.3k SF home at 50 Wyandanch Lane. The culprit appears to be a grease fire that started in the kitchen, the New York Post reports. No one was hurt. Friedland Properties owns over 100 properties on Madison Avenue between 57th and 72nd streets. Tenants include Polo Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Dolce & Gabanna, and LVMH. [NYP]
