Two Trees principal Jed Walentas tells the NY Times things could hardly be going better in Brooklyn. Two Trees’ 4M SF Domino Sugar mixed-use project is in the first of several phases, and the foundation’s being poured at BAM South, another mixed-use tower in Downtown Brooklyn that'll have 384 market rate and affordable rental apartments, 21k SF of retail and 45k SF of cultural space. Jed defended the high rents at 60 Water St in Dumbo—a neighborhood Two Trees gets credit for transforming into some of the city’s priciest real estate. The 40-year-old son of Two Trees founder David Walentas also discloses some key facts about himself, like how his birth certificate just has the letter J, not his one-syllable name.
