After years of design changes, a first glimpse is (finally) here of the future Marriott at 151 Maiden Lane in the Financial District. Renderings reveal a glassy building with a rippled facade. The 110,207 SF Marriott is being developed by Fortis Property Group and built by Pizzarotti-IBC, NY YIMBY reports. At 33 stories tall, the Peter Poon-designed hotel will house 271 rooms. Delivery is slated for 2017. 151 Maiden Lane will also have a 51-story, 140k SF residential tower, featuring 74 units. No word yet on the residential tower's completion date. Marriott is bolstering its presence Downtown; it has a Courtyard hotel coming on line next year (Q1 projected opening) on the periphery of the World Trade Center site. That project is being co-developed by Hidrock Properties and Robert Finvarb Cos. [NYY]
