Mayflower To Bring Another Peter Poon-Designed Hotel To Midtown

Weihong Hu’s Mayflower Business Group has filed applications for a 24-story, Peter Poon-designed hotel at 319 West 35th St near Penn Station.

The 250-foot-tall hotel is expected to have 170 rooms and 58k SF of commercial space, and will sit next to the 25-story Even Hotel, which Peter also designed, NY Yimby reports.

The design firm—known for its buildings' glassy façades—has now designed more than two dozen hotels throughout the city, including the future Marriott at 151 Maiden Lane.

Mayflower acquired the site—which houses two five-story, pre-war buildings (pictured) totaling 24 rental apartments and four commercial units—in May for $28M. [NYY]
