Veteran New York real estate executive Mitch Rudin has emerged as the top candidate to become CEO at Mack-Cali Realty Corp. The company is looking to replace Mitchell Hersh, who last year announced his retirement. A search committee is expected to recommend Rudin to Mack-Cali’s board, according to the Wall Street Journal. Rudin stepped down last year as chief executive of Brookfield Office Properties’ US Division. Previously, he was a senior executive with CBRE Group Inc. Mack-Cali has its annual meeting scheduled for Monday and is expected to announce succession plans in the coming weeks. [WSJ]
