Kushner Cos' active CEO may have urged Donald Trump to ax his campaign manger, Corey Lewandowski.
The Republican presidential nominee’s son-in-law had been pushing for the move for some time, according to the Washington Post. Lewandowski is known for a temper that resulted in a simple battery charge filed against him after he grabbed a reporter at campaign rally.
Jared reportedly triggered that temper at least once, when, as the Daily Beast reported, Lewandowski let loose on the campaign’s social media manager after Kushner authorized the purchase of a laptop that he hadn’t signed off on.
Kushner’s role in the campaign has been the subject of much media coverage lately, with the Associated Press reporting that his influence has gone as far as aiding with the selection of a running mate and advising on policy and fundraising matters. [WaPo]
