Did Kanye West's YSL Nemesis Buy $11M Gramercy Townhouse?

by Derrick Santini

There's a sneaking suspicion among some that Kanye West's fashion nemesis Hedi Slimane has purchased an $11M Gramercy building. The Yves Saint Laurent creative director has been linked to an LLC called Analytic Protocotol, which bought the townhouse at 65 Irving Place last year. Plans for the 7,429 SF property remain a mystery and the building appears to be vacant, the New York Daily News reports. The exec said the recently restored building will not be home to a YSL store but declined to comment when asked if it would be Slimane's own single-family mansion. Slimane butted heads with Kanye West after allegedly trying to tell the rapper which Paris Fashion Week shows he could attend. [NYDN]
