The return of the debt capital markets and the significant amount of capital looking to invest has encouraged servicers to shift from their “extend and pretend” mentality to actively modifying loans, which has led to increased sales, he notes. It's not surprising to see New York faring better than the national average, as investor demand remains high for major markets, with New York at or near the top of the list. |
