Escape from Alcatraz

Hammes Co SVP Kevin Kraiss did what many inmates have only dreamed of—escaped The Rock. He completed the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon after a 1.5-mile swim, 18-mile bike ride, and eight-mile run. (He must work out.) He started competing in triathlons 15 years ago “to stay in shape,” but it became a hobby. Kevin estimates he runs around 25-30 miles a week and bikes roughly 70 miles each weekend. His next outdoor activity? Climbing Mt. Whitney in the Sierras in August. Back on land, Kevin’s developing an 80k SF medical office building on the campus of Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa.
