Construction Tech Startup Procore Earns Unicorn Status After Reaching $1B Valuation

Procore Technologies just earned its unicorn status after its latest round of funding brought in $50M and pushed the firm’s valuation over the $1B mark.

The cloud-based construction software firm has raised $143M so far, doubling its funding in a year, ConstructionDive reports. Procore CEO Tooey Courtemanche built the company after struggling to communicate with the construction team that was building his own home, and today Procore has 1.5 million users representing more than 2,500 clients in 92 countries.

The firm says it plans to use its latest capital infusion to fund its first international expansion, eyeing operations in Canada and Australia. [CD]
