CBRE Group just added five mall-leasing experts to grow the firm’s business in the space just as the sector is gearing up for a transformation.
Four West Coast leasing specialists, led by Cynthia Murphy, are joining CBRE and will oversee the firm’s mall-leasing business nationally, while William Morris is joining to focus on outlet centers and lender-controlled malls.
The moves come amidst expectations that hundreds of North American malls will need third-party management and leasing services in coming years, and CBRE hopes to be among the first to take advantage of such repositioning opportunities.
