Here's The Best Restaurant In The US (According To Yelp)

If we're to call out for Yelp, the best restaurant in the nation is a cheap-eats Cuban joint in Southern California that can trace its roots back to Fidel Castro's regime.

Porto’s—a Cuban café and bakery in Burbank, CA, launched just a year after Castro came into power—came out as No. 1 on Yelp’s list of top rated restaurants in the US.

After fleeing Cuba, Rosa Porto found success as a cake baker stateside, eventually opening her own 300 SF shop on Sunset Boulevard, Business Insider reports.

When the '80s came around the whole family was involved in the business, and now it's grown to three locations in SoCal.

If you’re lucky enough to give the place a visit be sure to try their potato balls, guava cheese rolls and meat pies—Yelpers can’t get enough of them. [BI]
