Tikijian Associates Sells 873-Unit Multifamily Portfolio

Tikijian Associates has closed the sale of the Zender Family Apartment Portfolio in Indianapolis. The portfolio spans 16 buildings totaling 873 units. Ten of the buildings were purchased by Merchants Affordable Housing Corp of Indianapolis, while local apartment developer Barrett & Stokely purchased the other six, reports IndyStar. The Zender family has owned the apartments since 1971 and first tried to sell them in 2007, but pulled the listing from the market as the recession hit. They were relisted in 2012 without an asking price. No sale price was announced. [Indy]
