Report: Q1 Saw Strong Property Fundamentals Amid Global Uncertainty

Low oil prices, the Chinese slowdown and its dampening effect on emerging markets, in addition to concern over the Fed's persistently loose monetary policy were the major contributing factors to financial markets' overall bearishness in Q1.

While headlines and sentiments in financial circles were negative, there is no indication of any fundamental instability in the US economy. According to recent research from JLL, 2016 looks to be another strong year in US property markets.

An economic forecast from Forbes for 2016-17 agreed with this analysis, but said the strongest growth would be in residential, thanks to reliable population growth.
