President Donald Trump has discarded plans to form an infrastructure advisory council.

News of the cancellation comes after the resignation of several chief executives who quit in protest over his remarks about the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, Reuters reports.
The collapse of the infrastructure council also follows the disbanding of two other business advisory panels, Bloomberg reports.
New York developers Richard LeFrak and Steven Roth were expected to lead the panel, though there had not been any formal announcements about their appointment, Bloomberg reports. It was formed to aid Trump with his plan to spend an estimated $1 trillion on major building projects, including highways, bridges, pipelines and other public works.
The council would have consisted of a maximum of 15 members with representation from the real estate, finance and labor sectors, among others.
