This Startup Lets Buyers 'Test Drive' Their Buildings

Real estate startup RealStir lets real estate buyers "test drive" the asset before buying—a trial run giving buyers a chance to get cold feet before their investment.

“Why is it that people can test drive everything now except a home?” says Walid Romaya, founder and former developer.

Walid says he took his cue from Airbnb’s rental concept and sees potential to extend the company into commercial real estate down the road, Real Estate Weekly reports.

Walid thinks this type of purchasing is the buying of the future, and others must agree: Since launching in '14, the company's snagged $3.5M in seed money. [REW]
