REITs Sold the Most Stock in 2015 So Far

REIT insiders are making bank. And just to clarify, we're talking about the legal kind of insider trading. According to Sqoop, a service that analyzes public records like SEC filings, real estate companies sold off the most stocks since January 2015. Commercial real estate company Brixmor had the most successful insiders, selling more than $6.6B in stock since the beginning of the year, Business Insider reports. Meanwhile, REITs dominated in total sales as well, selling $8.8B in stocks. Restaurants, retail, and computer software, trailed closely behind. [BI]
