Call him real estate's LeBron Jamesat 34, CBRE's Brian Eisendrath is proving age is nothing but a number. He was just named the youngest vice chairman in the CRE Goliath's history, and he closed a $220M financing deal. (Just don't ask him to buy beer for you--not because he's too young--it's just rude to ask.)
We visited Brian in his West LA office, where he specializes in debt and equity finance for multifamily real estate nationwide. The $220M deal was a large portfolio of four assets located in Manhattan, Dallas, LA, and San Diego. Brian negotiated a waiver on the prepayment penalty, saving clientTIAA-CREFa bundle, as well as lower annual interest on new 10-year, fixed-rate debt. Brian originated $1.1B last year and expects to do $1.5B this year. For trading activity, he says the hottest markets are Denver, Phoenix, and Dallas. (Coastal cities declined our request for comment.)
His team--Brandon Winter, Brandon Smith, and Annie Rice--hangs out together, even going bowling a few weeks ago.Separately, Brian finds going tocar showsmore his speed. Brandon Winter plays on a men's clublacrosseteam, Brandon Smith is a bigUSC footballfan, and Annie is getting intoyoga.Brian was taking accounting courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison when an invite to a real estate club meeting convinced him to switch his major. Come catch up with him this April: He's a speaker at our national Bisnow Multifamily Annual Conference West, April 11 in Beverly Hills. Register now!
