Malmaison Features Chef Gerard Panguad!

Malmaison head chef—and industry superstar—Gerard Pangaud is helping to turn DC’s newest eatery into legend. Gerard owned a Parisian restaurant before he was 30 and then honed his craft at NYC’s Rainbow Room and DC’s Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, eventually opening the acclaimed Aurora in Manhattan. He was also the youngest chef to receive two Michelin stars in the 1980s. He now brings his exquisite talents to Malmaison on Monday and Friday, with a mix of what he calls old and new. His aim is not to reinvent the wheel, but simply to provide the best ingredients for the most satisfying results. Gerard tells us he never lost his interest in cooking—he only lost his interest in running a restaurant. Management’s loss is our gain. For more on our great sponsor, click here.
