Guess Which City Is No. 3 On List of US Boomtowns

A list of America’s top boomtowns named Dallas a gold mine for new home construction, job creation, and in increasing number of households.

Cities on the list, created by realtor.com subsidiary Move Inc, experienced between one and five times the average job growth of the top 100 counties in the country. Each ZIP code on the list is projected to see growth in households between 9% and 19% over the next five years.

Households in Dallas’ 75201 ZIP (Downtown, home to the Dallas Museum of Art and American Airlines Center) is projected to grow 14.9% in the next five years. Dallas County is expected to create 40,000 new jobs this year, 4.5 times more than the average of the top 100 counties in the US.
