Compass Captures Windstream In Durham

Compass Datacenters has opened its first data center in Durhams Research Triangle Park. The 22k SF stand-alone Tier III data center in the heart of North Carolinas tech hub has leased to Windstream Hosted Solutions. In December, Compass CEO Chris Crosby (left, with Critical Project Services Matthew Koerner at a recent industry event)told us his firm earned official Tier III designation through the Uptime Institute. Chris says Compass aims to develop modular Tier III facilities outside the Big Six data center markets, closer to actual customers. (Take note, grandkids.
