Welcome news for office space owners and landlords: Boston is the No. 1 city in the nation for fostering entrepreneurial growth and innovation, according to a report released today by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
The foundation crunched the numbers by using dozens of key indicators, and while the Bay Area was the leader in most categories, its poor performance in the "ecosystem connectivity survey" suggests the competitive nature of the region takes a toll on collaboration among startups, government, corporations and institutions, thus bumping it to the No. 2 spot. Also in the top five were Denver; Raleigh-Durham, NC; and San Diego, in that order.
