Dallas-based Provident Realty Advisors' Case Van Lare and Richard Byrd now have the go-ahead from the Downtown Code Design Review Committee to develop an eight-story, 150k SF self-storage building at Eighth and Drexel. That site is the former home of the Nashville Center Stage music venue and bar and an adjacent parking lot. The Dallas developers expect to close on acquisition of the site from Nashville-based owners shortly.
The buyers also have another two sites under contract in the Vanderbilt-West End and SoBro areas, the Tennessean reports, and they expect to begin construction on their projects within a year. The other two sites are likewise approved for six-story self-storage projects totaling 300k SF. [Tennessean]
