Birmingham-based LIV Development acquired a site for a second apartment development in Nashville, which will be in west Nashville overlooking the Cumberland at 5820 River Road. The developer, which paid a shade over $3M for the 56-acre site, is calling the 224-unit property Rivertop. The company is going to break ground on utility construction in the near future, according to the Tennessean.

The company's first Nashville project, The Cleo (pictured), is already well underway. The 291-unit apartment development will be completed by the summer, with monthly rents from $1,200 to around $2,800. The Rivertop apartments will start at about the same price point, $1,200, but top out at $1,700/month. The Rivertop site is a wooded area one mile west of the Nashville West Shopping Center.
