Crescent Communities of Charlotte is ready to develop a 337-unit apartment property on the former site of Bellevue Center Mall, as the first piece of redevelopment at the mixed-use One Bellevue Place. The overall redevelopment is being led by Charlotte-based Crosland Southeast and equity partner Branch Properties.
Crescent paid more than $6.7M for its slice of the site earlier this year, the Nashville Business Journal reports. Bellevue Center mall has been closed for the better part of a decade, with the recession and its aftermath keeping it an eyesore for the area. Crosland Southeast has attracted restaurants to the site and is also proposing 350k SF of office space. [NBJ]
