The much-delayed groundbreaking for Virgin Hotels Nashville has been set for Sept. 20. Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Hotels CEO Raul Leal will be on hand with development executives and city officials for the event. The property will be completed in 2019.
The 240-room hotel will be at Division Street and 17th Avenue South near Music Row, and include 10K SF of meeting space as well as a rooftop pool and bar. There will be no retail space, the Tenneessean reports.
The Buccini/Pollin Group has been tasked to develop the property, with BPGS Construction building the structure. Virgin has a hotel in Chicago, and another one will open soon in San Francisco. The company is planning properties in Palm Springs, Silicon Valley, New York City, New Orleans and Dallas.
