Drury Plans New SoBro Hotel

Another week, another hotel for SoBro. That's only a mild exaggeration, with word that Drury Hotels Co is planning to develop a property at 315 Third Ave S, next to the Sole Mio restaurant. The hoteliers wanted to buy the site of that restaurant as well, but owner Giancarlo Agnoletti declined the offer, asserting that his property isn't going to lose value—and that business at his restaurant would be even better with a new hotel next door, the Nashville Business Journal reports.

SoBro's the place for new or proposed hotels. Not counting Drury's proposal, 14 hotels representing about 3,800 rooms are underway or on the drawing boards. Drury hasn't yet announced the number of rooms it's going to build. [NBJ]
