On the eve of the DTLA Renaissance event, more than 100 people gathered at the WeWork Gas Tower for the DTLA Cocktail Schmooze.

CBRE president for the Greater LA and OC region Lewis Horne (above) and WeWork VP Mick McConnell both spoke to the crowd about their work.

Lew talked about how working in a creative office space, in which they have no file cabinets and free desks, has benefited CBRE employees.

The work environment is similar to a tech company, which he said has allowed the company to see great results so far.

Mick gave an update about WeWork's offices and plans for expansion.

The WeWork Gas Tower is at 555 West 5th St in DTLA.
