El Segundo Event Highlights The City's Success

The City of El Segundo and the El Segundo Economic Development Advisory Council hosted the Champions of Business Celebration last week to recognize local corporations and businessmen.

Continental Development Corp president Richard Lundquist (above), Chevron and Kite Pharma all received 2016 Champion of Business Awards for their roles in helping to ensure El Segundo's success.

More than 225 guests attended the event, held at El Segundo’s Vistamar School.

LA County Supervisor Don Knabe emceed.

LA Rams COO and VP of football operations Kevin Demoff delivered the keynote address.

The City of El Segundo also announced it surpassed its “100 @ 100” goal to attract 100 businesses by 2017, the city’s 100th anniversary.

More than 103 new businesses call El Segundo home.
